About the Awards

Award applications are accepted throughout the calendar year to December 31, with the annual award winners then chosen by the Selection Committee and announced on March 1st of the following year.

Awards are valued from $10,000-$50,000. All funds must be deployed by the end of the year following the year of the award.

An accounting of the expenditures must be provided to the Selection Committee at the end of the first year and if need be, the end of the second year. These funds cannot be used for personal expense.

Only applicants being considered for an award will be contacted.

Eligibility

Qualified applicants must be BC based charities and the initiatives must take place in BC.

Selection Criteria

The awards are granted annually for actionable initiatives in BC which contribute to the improvement of BC’s natural environment and the preservation of its wilderness and biodiversity. Initiatives which focus on past achievement or on multiple projects will not be accepted for review. A completed application form is required to be submitted by e-mail. Applications arriving by mail will not be accepted.
